Effective Date: January 1, 2026
By accessing or using the website at concreteguilford.com (the "Site"), requesting services from Advanced Guilford Concrete, or entering into any service agreement with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Site or request our services.
Advanced Guilford Concrete is a concrete contractor based in Guilford, CT. We provide residential and commercial concrete services including, but not limited to: driveway installation, patio construction, sidewalk building, stamped concrete, garage floors, retaining walls, foundation work, concrete cutting, and related trades.
Services are performed in Connecticut and surrounding areas as determined by our current service area. We reserve the right to decline any project at our sole discretion.
All estimates provided by Advanced Guilford Concrete are based on a site visit and the information available at the time of the estimate. Written estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise noted.
Estimates are not fixed bids unless explicitly stated in a signed written contract. Actual project costs may vary from the estimate if site conditions differ materially from what was observed, if the scope of work changes at the customer's request, or if unforeseen conditions (such as buried debris, unstable soil, or utility conflicts) are discovered during excavation or preparation.
Any changes to scope or price will be communicated to you before additional work proceeds. Verbal authorizations to proceed with scope changes constitute acceptance of associated cost increases.
Project start dates are estimates and may be affected by weather, permit processing times, material availability, and schedule changes beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of delays in advance.
Concrete work is weather-dependent. We reserve the right to reschedule any pour if temperatures are forecast to fall below 40 degrees Fahrenheit or rise above 90 degrees Fahrenheit within 24 hours of the scheduled pour, or if precipitation is expected to affect the quality of the finished work. Rescheduled work will be performed as soon as conditions allow.
You may cancel a scheduled project at any time before work begins. If a deposit has been collected and work has not yet started, the deposit may be retained to cover costs already incurred, including permit fees, material orders, and mobilization costs. Any unearned portion of the deposit will be refunded.
Once work has begun, cancellation will result in payment for all work completed and materials installed to that point, plus any reasonable costs incurred in demobilizing from the site. Cancellation requests must be made in writing via email to team@concreteguilford.com.
Payment terms are outlined in each project agreement. Typical terms require a deposit at the time of project confirmation, with the balance due upon substantial completion of the work. Specific milestones and amounts are stated in the written project agreement.
Accepted payment methods are stated in the project agreement. Invoices not paid within the timeframe specified in the agreement may be subject to a late payment fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance.
Advanced Guilford Concrete reserves the right to suspend or discontinue work on any project where payment is overdue until the account is brought current.
Advanced Guilford Concrete will obtain all required building permits for the agreed scope of work unless explicitly stated otherwise in the project agreement. Permit fees are the responsibility of the customer and will be included in the project estimate.
You are responsible for identifying and disclosing the location of any underground utilities, irrigation systems, drainage lines, or other subsurface features on your property before work begins. We are not liable for damage to undisclosed subsurface conditions. We will request utility locates through the appropriate service (such as Connecticut's Call Before You Dig program) prior to excavation.
Advanced Guilford Concrete warrants that all work will be performed in a workmanlike manner consistent with industry standards. Specific warranty terms, including duration and coverage, are stated in the written project agreement.
Warranty coverage does not apply to damage caused by: misuse or abuse of the finished surface, failure to follow post-installation care instructions, acts of nature (including but not limited to flooding, frost heave from abnormal ground conditions, or earthquake), or modifications made to the work by anyone other than Advanced Guilford Concrete.
Normal cracking, minor surface discoloration, and slight variations in color or texture are inherent characteristics of concrete and are not considered defects. Control joints are designed to direct cracking and their presence does not constitute a defect.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Advanced Guilford Concrete's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to services provided or these Terms and Conditions will not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific project giving rise to the claim.
Advanced Guilford Concrete will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, loss of use, or damage to property not directly caused by our work, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

If a dispute arises between you and Advanced Guilford Concrete related to services provided or these Terms and Conditions, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter informally first by contacting us at team@concreteguilford.com.
If informal resolution is not successful within 30 days, either party may pursue claims through a court of competent jurisdiction in Connecticut. Both parties waive any right to a jury trial to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. You agree that any claim must be brought in your individual capacity and not as part of a class action.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these terms will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Connecticut.
We reserve the right to update or change these Terms and Conditions at any time. When changes are made, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site or our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
